DESCRIPTION:

Are you an Austin-area K-8 teacher or informal educator curious about our natural environments, carbon & climate change, and sustainability? Teacher Conservation Institute: Austin Urban Connections is a two-day training that supports educators in introducing outdoor and environmental learning into any setting. In this hands-on training, you will: • Become a certified PLT educator • 16hrs CPE Credit - TEKS Aligned, STEM Correlated • Join local experts on field tours that model sustainability experiences you can share with your students • Get your own award-winning curriculum and materials to bring forests into any learning setting • Connect to a network of subject matter experts and educators to support your learning goals.
